viewing in open roof cars. Then return to Arusha
town for over night.

After break fast drive to Orphanage center for a
full day activities. The main activates there is
construction so you will have a good chance to help
in construction, teaching the kids, playing dancing
having lunch with them and lots of funny. Then late
evening drive back to Arusha for dinner and
overnight.

Start your drive to NORTHWEST to Lake Natron via
Longido and then west across the Rift Valley towards
Lake Norton, one of the Great Rift Valley lakes.
This will be a long day’s drive through remote back
country, little affected by tourism. Very dusty
roads, but adventurous! Lake Natron lays in northern
Tanzania in between the Ngorongoro Highlands and
Serengeti Plains, stated at the base of Africa’s
only active Volcano Oldonyo Lengai (Mountain of God)
in Maasai language. Lake Natron is one of the most
alkaline lakes in the world. Home to thousands of
lesser flamingos and one of the most important
flamingo breeding grounds nested on earth.
Here the landscape rather than the animals is the
main attraction. The area around the lake is dry,
desolate, and hauntingly beautiful. Those who are
fit enough, may climb Mount Oldonyo Lengai. They
will start mid night around 11:00p to the summit
where they will arrive around 5:00 am to wait for
sunrise. Then descend down. They will be at the camp
for lunch. Late afternoon walk to the water falls
and return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: July

Morning drive to the Serengeti national Park via
the great Rift Valley escarpment; amazing landscape
up to the top escarpment, about 17 sharp corners.
Then proceed to LOLIONDO game reserve to Klein’s
gate, the entrance to Serengeti National Park from
northern Part. Game drive in the way to the camp.
Serengeti is one of the very famous N.P in the world
for Amazing migration of Animals and one of the
biggest Parks the world.
Day 10: July 18

Wake up very early in the morning have early break
fast. Then drive to Ngorongoro crater passing Naabi
gate. Pass through Serengeti plains via shifting
sand and proceed to olvupai museum.
(Where Dr. Lieky and family found very old fossils
of human-kind; later drive to the crater for a full
day game drive. Then late evening drive to Mto wa
Mbu village for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: July 20

Early breakfast then go for cultural walk in MTO WA
MBU VILLAGE. The place is full of banana
plantations. You will have a full day to walk where
you please and to test all African traditional
dishes which will be prepared by villagers and all
culture because the place is concentrated of Most of
Tanzania tribes from every corner of Tanzania. After
lunch drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Drive from Arusha by bus to Dar es Salaam, the
commercial city of Tanzania. It’s about 8hrs drive.

colleges and universities of Dar es Salaam. The

Morning after breakfast visit to Orphanage centre in
Dar es Salaam, spend the all day with kids. Then

After breakfast drive to Bagamoyo about 70km north
of Dar es Salaam. Places to visit include a small
but interesting museum with a section on some of the
European explorers to the region, Ruins of German
colonial time, Slave trade mosques and Kaole Ruins
for part of the 1800’s. Bagamoyo has nice beaches
and yumyum!!!! Sea food. Dinner and overnight in
Bagamoyo.
Day 17 July 25

Morning take a boat to lass Lagoon Island. The
island has a very beautiful Hotel. Have early lunch.
(Cruise back to Bagamoyo town then proceeds to Dar
es Salaam for late boat around 1600 hours to
Zanzibar.
Option one: Take a speed boat to Zanzibar from dare
s Salaam.
Option two: Cruise by dhow about 5 hrs to Zanzibar
from Bagamoyo

Day 18 - 21: July 30

Zanzibar is one of the very famous islands from
colonial time. There a lots of activities to do in
Zanzibar. Most of you will like to be free to
sunbathe at the beach and swim and read!!!! Note
that the all program of Zanzibar will be discussed
on arrival.
Some of the things to do: -visit Kiembe samaki
secondary training program.
Visit Jozan forest and learn about community
conservation project support by WWF (world
wildlife find )
Visit ZAPHA (Zanzibar peoples living with AID and
program in stone town.
Space tour and Dolphin tour.
Arrange talk with local fishermen and discuss
environmental problems of over fishing. Reef
destruct and impact on livelihoods.
Boat back to Dar es Salaam in the afternoon. Day
room to shower and prepare for long flight back
home.
-final debriefing and farewell; Early dinner and
transfer to Dar es Salaam Airport.

THINGS TO NOTE
Minimum group required 10 - 15, 20 - 30 Students
Departing from Dar es Salaam airport (DAR) on KLM
flight or other air lines company usually no extra
charges to fly into Kilimanjaro or depart from Dar
es Salaam (DAR). Make sure you check long though
before your departure day.
Recommended airlines fly into Kilimanjaro airport
are:

-Ethiopian air line
-British Air Ways
-Emirates Air Line

The flight is not included you have to find your own
flight to the Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) or Dar es
Salaam in Tanzania. Where you will meet the
representative from Bushdrifters, make sure you
confirm your day and time of your arrival to
Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Dar es Salaam air port by
contacting us directly or your country coordinator
or your Teacher. Or you can land in Nairobi Airport
where there good service of shuttle buses coming in
Arusha everyday.
For Mountaineers: -You will need some extra pocket
money for buying some personal needs items or
souvenirs ($500) will be more than enough.
